Various Certifications: Water and Wastewater Treatment Systems, ERTC at SIUE

Courses at ERTC are designed to assist individuals interested in preparing to enter a career in drinking water and wastewater treatment systems or to pursue further education to upgrade job skills, obtain advanced certification levels, and prepare for career advancement.

In addition to the Water Quality Control Operations program, coursework leading to certifications at ERTC at SIUE includes:

CAREER OUTLOOK

  • Graduates of this ERTC program are employed in Illinois, Missouri, and numerous other states.
  • The demand for safe drinking water and quality recreational water is continually rising. As a result, the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency has indicated a statewide need for as many as 400 additional operators each year.
