The college is dedicated to public engagement, from going green on campus, reducing the college’s carbon footprint and providing technical assistance in sustainable practices and education.

Through Building Illinois’ Bioeconomy partnership, Lewis and Clark has enhanced its Process Operations Technology Program (PTEC). Graduates will qualify for a career in the nationally critical field of petroleum refining, oil and gas production, petrochemicals production, biochemical produces, base chemicals productions and power generation.

Lewis and Clark also created a program in restorative ecology where students will learn to repair damaged land, habitat, and ecosystems, and to manage these sustainable environments.
